MK June 16
From the Editor
A massive month is upon us, not just for Milton Keynes, but for the whole of the UK, as we decide as a nation whether we will stay in the EU or leave. I don’t usually talk about anything political in my editor’s letter, but I feel there are so many people out there who have a vote and for whatever reason, decide not to use it; arguably this is far more important than any general election.
Back to the world of Pulse Magazine, and its packed edition with all of the news, views and stories from across the city.
If your garden is causing you some angst we have some great tips for what you should be doing in June and, if like some you dread the thought of weeding and wouldn’t know your Ribwort from your Rhododendron then take a look at our advertisers – they will definitely be able to help you.
The time is upon us to dust off the BBQ in preparation for the warm Summer evenings, but if the Winter slumber has rendered it unusable or you’re just in the market for a bigger and better one with go faster stripes, then check out the advert for Custom Glaze on page 21 to find out how you could win one (minus the stripes).
Our resident beauty expert Gail Spooner returns to bring you all of the best tips and tricks for the Summer including how to achieve that fabulous sun-kissed look without ending up as a Madge Harvey look-a-like. And if you’re in the market for a perfect holiday destination check out page 34 as the Travel Counsellors tell us about Cyprus.
Enjoy the month folks and Happy Father’s Day to all you lovely dads out there.
